Where to Purchase Compost Bins

Anoka County

Anoka County is currently selling The Home Composter for a reduced price of $30. These bins are available to Anoka County residents only. Limit of one bin per household.

  • How to get your bin:
    Go to one of the participating recycling or garden centers within the county.  Bins will be available for purchsase on a first come, first serve basis while supplies last.

  • Where to get your bin:
    For a list of locations selling bins and more details about the program, go to www.anokacounty.us/yardwaste.  Residents should bring along a check for $30 payable to Anoka County when purchasing a bin.

Dakota County

Compost bins are available for sale at the Dakota County Eco Site. These bins are available to all customers.

  • How to get your bin:
    Visit the Dakota County Eco Site in Eagan.

Hennepin County

Hennepin County is currently selling compost bins to residents at a reduced cost of $35. Bins are available to Hennepin County Residents only. There is a limit of one bin per household.

  • How to get your bin:
    Purchase bins at Hennepin County's Drop-Off Facility in Brooklyn Park, 8100 Jefferson Hwy. No pre-order is necessary. Bins will be available for purchase on a first come, first serve basis on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.. Check http://www.hennepin.us/compostbinsale for availability. Bins are available while supplies last.

Ramsey County

Compost bins are available for sale at a handful of Ramsey County municipalities, including Falcon Heights, Mounds View, Shoreview, and St Paul.
