Looking for a Valentine's Day gift for a special someone? Make them a heart-shaped notepad out of used paper! It's a fun and practical gift that can be used all year.
Before starting this activity, be sure to get permission
and ask for help.
WHAT YOU NEED
- Paper that has been used on one side (you'll need about 20 pieces)
- Cardboard
- Marker
- Scissors
- Paper punch
- 1 piece of ribbon, string or twine (approximately 6 inches long)
WHAT YOU DO
- Draw a heart shape on the cardboard and cut it out for a pattern. Then, trace your heart shape onto a piece of scrap paper. Stack about 5 pieces of paper below that and cut out the heart shape. Repeat this step until you have cut all your paper into heart.
- Punch a hole in the same place in the top of each heart. Slide the ribbon, string or twin through the holes in the hearts and tie a knot to hold them together.
When you're done, you can write a special message on the front of the notepad to personalize your gift.
