Students in grades 4 - 7 at this south Minneapolis alternative school will reduce food waste and toxicity at
school and in the homes of the 90 families associated with the school. They will conduct a cost and environment
analysis related to school lunches and cleaning products. A primary goal of the project is helping families
and others in the community change their behaviors and create new habits that reduce waste in conjunction
with food preparation and meal clean-up.
