Over 25 residents and Augsburg college students will be trained to be mentors to residents on waste and
toxicity reduction. These mentors will be paired with over 100 other residents, including 50 East African
immigrants, to receive education on label reading for toxics and alternatives to toxic products. Training
will include visits to local food stores. Information will also be distributed at the annual Kings Fair at
Matthews Park Center.
