This project will engage 100 9th grade students at Crosswinds Middle School in Woodbury in reducing packaging waste. Students will learn about packaging from several perspectives (manufacturers, marketers, county waste staff) and will share their knowledge with peers, younger students, and at community events. They will examine their family's and their own purchasing habits and create educational displays. They will use packaging to create art and theater productions for community education about the issue.
