This project will develop Somali language educational literature on waste/toxicity reduction and recycling. Program leaders will train 20 female Somali high school students as waste and toxicity reduction community educators, as part of a plan to develop their leadership. In turn, these students will train Somali families in their apartment buildings and distribute the educational literature. Three workshops on waste/toxicity reduction (100 residents per workshop) will be conducted in low income apartment buildings.
