Most plastic containers are stamped with a numerical code between 1 and 7 which is encircled by the arrows of the recycling symbol. Developed by the plastics industry, this code merely identifies the type of plastic resin used to make the container - it does not necessarily mean the container is recyclable. The wide variety of resins in use often prove incompatible for recycling.

Industrial Scrap Plastic Film & Other Plastics

Some recyclers accept industrial material including packaging film or pallet wrap. Most industrial scrap film and plastics markets will allow businesses to drop off materials, but some have minimum quantity and material preparation requirements. Pick-up service may be arranged for large quantities. Consumer grade plastics must be clean and free of contaminants. Call first for specific requirements.
