Banned From Garbage
Phone books are banned from placement in trash under Minnesota Statutes §115A.951.
State law also requires publishers or distributors of phone books with
more than 7,500 listings to provide for their collection and delivery
to a recycler, and distributors must inform recipients where books may
be dropped off. For more information, contact your local phone company
or check with your hauler.
